OUR WAITING LIST PROCESS
Please read this completely so you can understand our policy. First of all, we are NOT TAKING A DEPOSIT FROM YOU UNTIL WE CONFIRM PREGANCY & HAVE A PUPPY FOR YOU. This process requires some explanation.
First of all, we are a small family breeder that only breeds one or two litters each year. These puppies are raised in our home in the midst of our family. We do not “mass-produce” puppies. Secondly, we cannot predict how many puppies we have in a litter so we cannot tell you exactly when we will have a puppy for you. Everything is a guess… an educated guess, but still a guess.
Okay, here’s the explanation of our process…
Once someone inquires about one of our puppies and decides they would like to pursue the purchase of a SunnyDream’s puppy, we require the completion of a Puppy Questionnaire. This is a simple online form that allows us to get to know you and your household situation. This will help us to understand the type of puppy that will fit into your home and best meet the needs of your family. Our puppies are in high demand to pet homes, service dog homes and show dog homes. Some pet homes have children and some are settled adults with no children. Each situation has inherent requirements / preferences regarding the type of puppy that will work best.
Once we review the Puppy Questionnaire and feel like your home would be a good “fit” for one of our puppies, we will contact you and ask if you want to be on our waiting list. This list usually has more people waiting than we will have puppies in our next litter, so the wait may seem long. However, the number of people chronologically ahead of you on our list does not necessarily reflect the number of people who will actually get a puppy before it is your turn (see NOTE below).
NOTE: Since we do not require a deposit to be on our wait list, many people sign on while they continue to look for a puppy elsewhere. This simply makes the wait list appear longer than it actually is. We contact people chronologically from the list when pregnancy is confirmed and we can give them an actual date their puppy is arriving. This is when we ask for a deposit. There are always many people on our list who have already purchased a puppy from another breeder. This makes our wait list go much faster than you may think.
